Brandon Barash Fans in Support of MDA

Brandon Barash, aka Johnny Zacchara, is actively involved in raising funds for MDA. In an interview with MSNBC’s Giacinta Pace, Brandon explains why he is dedicated to supporting MDA. He states, “When I was a kid, my best friend was afflicted with a rare but very deadly form of MD called Duchenne. He passed away when I was 18, just before his 18th birthday. I made a promise then, to myself and to him, that as soon as I became successful in whatever line of work I chose later on in life, I would pick up fighting wherever he left off.”

Donations to MDA provide help and hope in many ways:

Clinics - expert specialized medical care

Research - cutting-edge investigation into treatments and cures

Support - help obtaining equipment and coping with challenges

Camp - a barrier-free week of fun, friendship and laughter for kids

And so much more - visit mda.org for information on how MDA makes a difference to people around the country and in your community.

Please help us raise funds for this cause that is near and dear to Brandon Barash’s heart. Donations will be accepted until Labor Day, the day of the MDA telethon. Brandon will be presented with a letter from his fans stating the total amount of funds collected. Port Chuck Fan Profile #4 @jasonandsam

What can I say about Port Chuck? I LOVE them. I have been a fan of Steve Burton’s for a long time. We even share the same June 28th birthday. My girls say I’m obsessed with him, but who could blame me, he is amazing. I was so excited when he was talking about putting this band together but I didn’t really know what to expect from them, they are actors not singers, right? Then I realized it really didn’t matter because it was meant to be something fun for the fans, to be able to go and enjoy hearing great songs that a lot of us listened to in our teenage years, and probably still listen to, and it was another way to get to see and meet them, as well as fans meeting other fans. I have to admit my initial attraction and interest was strictly for Steve, mainly because I had been a fan of his for many years. I of course knew of Bradford and Brandon because of GH but didn’t really know much about Scott. I already knew Steve was an amazing actor and a very special person, but once they all starting doing interviews, talking about it and seeing how they interacted with each other, I wanted to know more about the other guys also. I started to follow them on Twitter also and found that I really liked them as well, outside of their roles they play on GH. They all bring a little something different to the band and that is what makes Port Chuck special. I think it is great that they take the time away from their families to put on these shows and meet and greets where, from what I have heard, since I myself have not been able to make it to a show yet but do enjoy my CD, they talk to, sign autographs and take pictures with each person that wants to; it is not just a set amount of time for this, they stay until the last person in line has had their time. This to me shows exactly how much they truly do appreciate their fans.
If someone asked me what is something I would like from Port Chuck? Well, I would want them to do a show here in Virginia (near Washington, DC) and it would be on June 28th so Steve and I could celebrate our birthday together. Hey, a girl can dream right, nothing wrong with that.

Port Chuck Fan Profile #3 @SUSEYE

Of course it all really started with the best soap (in my opinion) ever made called "General Hospital"! I have
been watching for decades and for the last 9 yrs. even got my husband Denny into watching it! We haven't
missed an episode and we tape it every day!

Fast forward to Twitter...when I first got on the site I made some friends immediately, and it was great to be
able to talk to and meet people with the same interests. I searched for other GH fans and from there
it just blossomed...and the best part...the actors from GH joined Twitter too! Steve Burton was the first person I
"met" on Twitter and bless his big heart, he responds to everyone as best he can!! Yes, he tweets his fans back and
boy does he get "bombarded"!!! When I first started tweeting w/Steve he only had 4,000 followers, lol "only"!
Now I believe he is now up to around 40,000 followers but still continues to answer his fans - turned friends on Twitter.
He even wished my twins a Happy Birthday and remembered their names!

Finally, he was appearing by himself in Chicago (Vernon Hills, IL) Feb. 12, 2010. My husband who, by this time, had
become a major "Jason" fan, took me to see and MEET Steve Burton in person! We were amazed at how absolutely
friendly he was and so incredibly generous with his time! He had his picture taken by everyone...the time he spent with
his fans shows how much he appreciates each and every one! So, after 2 years of tweeting w/Steve Burton, other stars
from the show joined Twitter, and while some of them also write their fans, Steve has remained the most committed and
"patient" I have ever seen!

In 2010 Port Chuck Band was announced and it grew so big and fast it has been. unreal! Port Chuck (for those who don't already know)
include Steve Burton (Jason Morgan of General Hospital) and 3 other actors from the show; Scott Reeves (Dr. Steven Weber),
Brandon Barash (Johnny Zaccara) and Bradford Anderson (Damien Spinelli, Jason's li'l buddy and super-hacker :)
...Together they make up "PORTCHUCK"... (a nickname good ol' Luke Spencer liked to jokingly call the city of "Port Charles" where
the show General Hospital takes place...and has for over 40 years! What a perfect name for the band!! The guys put on
an amazingly electric and super exciting show and I love the way they "interact" with their fans! These guys are unreal!
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them this past April, 2011 at the same place I met Steve Burton last year at Zanie's Comedy Club
in Vernon Hills, Illinois. I was exhausted after the show...I think almost as much as the guys themselves, lol!!!

So, my friend, that is my story about this fantastic wonderful #1 new band we have all grown to LOVE and not be able to get enough of...
..."PORT CHUCK"!!! :D

A Secret Project and then some!

Well, I feel I should explain something BEFORE I get to my "Secret"...my blog posts are far between due to illness on my part and a 9 yr old with Tourettes Syndrome, OCD, and a couple of other issues. They tend to take up ALL my time, not counting the nights I stay awake all night...though that has more to do with MY obsessions and my 9 yr old waking up more often then a newborn with colic! I would LOVE to have co-bloggers, but I'll ask when the time is right.

Now then, I have 2 projects in the works for this BLOG. Port Chuck has become so very important to me for the simple fact that my son and I have started listenening (and singing BADLY) to the songs together. He's a boy who can't, and won't, leave my side, so why not get him into something I like? Truth be told, he loves Linkin Park, so "In The End" was an instant hit with him, though I WAS surprised that he loved "No One Like You"...think it was all the guitar ;p

Anyway, I've been collecting stories from other fans, some are long with pics, some are short with nothing more than a desire to express how much they love the music. I asked for permission to do this blog and was told yes. I was even told I could post videos & pics, but since the sound is pretty bad on camera phones (Did my age just show? Cause I'm not sure if that's what they're even called!) I won't be posting videos of them performing live, even if the quality is decent. Guess we may have to bug them to film a few videos, eh??
